Miles had his first soccer game today. It's more like a big blob chasing the ball! Miles had a great time and did great! At this age they don't really keep score but I'm pretty sure our team won.

Sorry its been so long since my last post. We have been really busy and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The kids are growing so fast! Iris recently had pneumonia (see pic) but is back to her usual happy self. Miles is still loving school and getting smarter everyday! I cant believe he will be 4 in June! The weather has been beautiful lately and we have been spending a lot of time outside riding bikes and playing. Here are some recent pictures of the kids and what they have been up to.

We had a wonderful christmas this year! The kids got more than we know what to do with. We had a fun christmas morning at our house, went to PaPa's house that evening and then headed to Tifton the day after Christmas. While in Tifton we got to spend time with family and Duane and i got to sleep in! Here are some pictures from Christmas.

For the past couple years Miles and I make Halloween cookies. This year was no different except for the fact that he is needing less and less help. He is getting so big. We had a great time and making cookies and fond memories.

At school Miles and his friends dressed up and had a halloween party thursday. Miles is a cowboy this year. It was really fun! By the end of the day all the kids were bouncing off the walls.

Iris and I had a little girls weekend in Greenville this past week while Miles and Duane had a boys weekend here at home. We had a great time! It was fun getting to spend some one on one time with my sweet little girl. Even at only 1 years old Iris loves to dress up.

Today Duane ran in the Save the Ta Ta's Breast Cancer 5K. He did awesome and his time was 25:02! We all went to cheer him on. Miles informed us that "he could do that" so we may be blogging about his first 5k soon.

Yesterday our little guy turned 3! We had such a great day celebrating. We went and saw the new Toy Story 3 movie (loved it) and then had pizza and pirate cupcakes that night with family. Duane turned 31 yesterday!!! The day was filled with surprises. He had breakfast and presents in bed after sleeping in until 9:00. He went out to lunch with friends and then we brought him his favorite cupcake from a local bakery. Then to top it all off he went to a movie that night. I think he had a great day. Earlier this month we took Miles to Myrtle Beach to an indoor water park. We rode the ferry from Carolina Beach and then drove into MB. We went with our good friends the Biagini's and had a blast! It was the perfect mini get away and we cant wait to go again next year.

Polar Plunge

On Feb. 20th i participated in the Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics. The air temp that day was in the low- mid 60's and the water temp was in the low 40's. It was quite an experience. Duane was supposed to join in the fun but Iris was sick so he stayed home with her. Don't worry there is always next year :)

We woke up this morning to 4 inches of snow. We have had a great day building a snowman, eating snow, and having snow ball fights. Now its time for a nap.

4 Months Old

Iris is 4 months old now. I cant believe how fast time has gone by. She now weighs 13.8 lbs and has started eating rice cereal. When i took her for her 4 month well check up they found that she had an ear infection. I had no idea because she had been her usual happy, smiling self. She is the best baby in the world if i do say so myself.
